CDVL Appointment FAQs

How do I make an appointment with a CDVL Tutor?

The CDVL provides appointment scheduling through WCOnline. It is important to note that our WCOnline system is different than the CWS’ WCOnline system. (You will know which one you are using by the logo at the top).

If it is your first time using our WCOnline system, please register for an account. If it is not, please log in with the credentials you created. Please Note the login information is not tied to your single sign-on information.

We are providing both Customized Peer-to-Peer (CPTP) and Virtual Tutoring appointments. Select the schedule type on the front page to be taken to that schedule. Select a time slot available and fill out the appointment form. You will receive an email confirming your appointment type and time.

What is CPTP versus a Virtual tutoring apointment?

Customized Peer-to-Peer (CPTP) Tutoring

CPTP appointments are encouraged only for those who would like to use the center’s resources in person. At your appointment time, please visit one of the CDVL Computer labs (McCain G-11 and G-37) to use a computer for your session. Under no circumstances are we offering in-person tutoring that does not adhere to CDC guidelines. You will then be emailed via scottiemail a link for your appointment video or audio call from your appointment tutor.

Virtual Tutoring

Virtual Tutoring appointments are conducted while you are in your own space. These appointments are done synchronously via a video or audio call sent to you by your appointment tutor via scottiemail.

What COVID-19 restrictions exist in the CDVL?

Currently, the CDVL is open for Campus use during the Library’s open hours. This includes McCain G-11 large computer lab and McCain G-37 medium computer lab. Access to the CDVL and Library via keycard is determined by the campus guidelines

Outside both computer labs, there are maximum occupancy guidelines posted. Inside, computers and physical resources have been placed 6 feet apart to assist in social distancing.

ASC Campus community guidelines still apply while using our space. Maintain social distancing, keep your mask over your nose and mouth, and sanitize your area after use.
